Confirmation - Wednesdays 6:00pm-6:50pm 7-12th Grades
Confirmation at First Lutheran Church begins in 7th grade. Starting in 7th Grade, youth can participate in two 6-week sessions per year. These sessions are offered once in the fall and once in the spring each year. Every year one of the sessions is on either the Old or New Testament, and the other is will be from a variety of topics.
After completing four sessions altogether, including one Old and one New Testament, and two topical sessions, students will join us for a brief faith statement retreat (offered each fall) and after having written and presented their faith statement to the Confirmation, they will be confirmed on the Reformation Sunday following their presentation.
None of our Sessions are mandatory. But once students are registered for a session we ask that they attend all six weeks, missing at most, one week of the session with a previously excused reason.
