A number of timely and relavant issues facing our church and life together will be discussed, such as: What does it mean to be a Sanctuary Denomination; The Social Statement, "Faith, Sexism and Justice: A Call to Action"; A Declaration of Inter-Religious Commitment, and much more.

Wednesday evenings at 6:45 in the Amber Room. We will be discussing Austen Hartke's book transforming. "This book will be invaluable to anyone seeking to understand trans lives and show respect to trans people." Rally Sunday and Wednesday - September 15 and 18, 2019
Excited about starting a new year of Sunday School. We are going to learn how we can use our Superpowers to fulfill God's plan for our lives. Please come dressed as your favorite Superhero and join in the FUN! We will have Real Live Superheros, a boucy house, games, snacks, crafts and an opportunity to sign up for Sunday School
Preschool Open House - August 29 and 30, 2019
We are excited about having an open house on August 29 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and also on August 30 from 9:00am to 4:00pm. This is a great time to learn about what is our preschool is all about and learn more about the program. Opportunities for signing your kids up will also be available

Make & Take for Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day! We will have a special make and take event the Saturday before Mother's Day, May 11 at 1:00 PM. We will make Mother's Day cards, sun catchers, tissue paper flowers and plant real flowers in tea cups for gifts of our Mothers. DOCUMENTARY: Sacred Breath: First Lutheran Church of Bemidji's Pipe Organ Project
Over six years in the making, come along as First Lutheran Church of Bemidji's pipe organ committee searches for the right way to have a new pipe organ built. Their many considerations include their congregation, their church's structure and the greater Bemidji communities. Their research takes them to Saint Johns in Park Rapids, MN, Saint Andrew's in Grand Rapids, MN, and elsewhere before deciding on a world-class pipe organ builder. Their new pipe organ, the first of its kind, includes Native flute pipes "stops" replicating the sound of the Native flute.
Documentary interviews include: Pastor Corey Fuhrman, Jon Romer, Sarah Carlson, Dr. Beverly Everett, Dr. Jim Bensen, Dr. Anton Treuer & more. Produced and directed by Scott C. Knudson.

The celebration for the completion of the Sanctuary Revitalization Project is November 5, 2017 at 3:00 PM. This will be a wonderful celebration involving First Lutheran's Adult Choir, Women's Choir, Bell Choir, as well as, Bemidji State University's Concert Choir, Womens Choir and a brass ensemble. We will rededicate the Sanctuary to the glory of God, and dedicate the new Casavant Pipe Organ to many years of praise and thanksgiving. The new pipe organ will be featured under the skillful hands of our Music Minister, Sarah Carlson. The celebration is free and open to the public.
First Lutheran Church voted at a special congregational meeting on August 25, 2016 to move ahead with the Sanctuary Revitalization Project. To read more about this exciting project, check out the brochure below. The stop list is available through the Casavant Link below.
