Summer Activities at First Lutheran Church
VALLEY FAIR - August 19th
8-12th Graders (2011-2012 School Year)
K-7th Graders with a Parent. (2011-2012 School Year)
Want to come with to Valley Fair? We head out at 6am from the Bethel Lutheran Parking Lot! Don't miss it! We'll be back late in the evening close to Midnight.
The Cost is $40. Members and Non-members are welcome but there is limited seating on the bus so signup before hand!

Summer 2011 is going to be full of opportunities for the entire congregation!
Also, remember that if the costs associated with any of our youth and family programs is a financial burden for the participants, you can complete a fee reduction request and drop it off to the church. Our goal for our fund-raising with the Youth Stock program is that everyone will be able to participate regardless of financial issues.

Youthworks! Mission Trip to Thunder Bay, Ontario!
Dates: July 31 - August 5th
7-12th Grade!

BE LIKE JESUS. SERVE.
We are headed to Ontario for some service and mission work to those in need in Thunder Bay. Our week will be spent with 70 others from around the country and the staff of Youthworks! on site. Each day we will meet the need of those around us, this may include everything from working in food shelves, soup kitchens, clothing banks, children's day programs, homeless shelters, construction, and more. Each day is an adventure and we'll all be in it together! We put our trust in God, our butt's in the seats, and head out to be the hands and feet of Christ to our neighbors in need!
- Cost is $150
- $75 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot ( nine spots )
- Final Payment due June 30 (Non-refundable once payment has been sent to camp)
- Participants under 19 will need a certified Birth Certificate or a passport Card, or a Passport.
- Participants over 19 will need a Passport or a Passport Card.

- Fee Reduction is available upon request to Chris Richards or the Youth Board if the fee is a financial burden to your family.

FROLF:
Frisbee Golf each week with friends and discs provided!
Mondays at the new frisbee golf course, on 23rd street, Time after the school year TBA, during the School year 3:30-5:30. We will shift the time after the school year is out!
Summer Youth Group:
this year's 8-11th Graders and Graduates
Wednesday Nights, Twice a Month, behind the church, its youth group, summer style. Schedule TBA. Schedule will be emailed and texted to those involved, or who have requested the information. Email Chris or call to request info and schedule!
Jr. High Bible Camps Campership!
We have not chosen a specific week to go to Bible Camp. But if your Junior High child is interested in participating at bible camp, we will support them with a $100 campership towards the bible camp that you choose.
Here's how:
1. Register for a camp session your family chooses!
2. BEFORE CAMP, Let us know at First Lutheran Church which camp your child has signed up for and we will send the subsidy directly to Pathways Bible Camp!
3. Go to camp and have an amazing time.
4. If our staff are available, we'll make every effort to visit our youth at camp!!!
5. We can post photos and stories online from camp as well!
We are corporate members at Pathways Bible Camp so the member fee is the fee you should expect to pay for any camping experiences. Otherwise, you will be paying the "non-member" rates at other Camps.

Bible Camp is one of the primary ways we see youth begin their interest and pursuit of spiritual education and development. Don't miss the opportunity for your child to have a fun and faith building week at Camp! Although there isn't a specific week we are planning to attend, youth can sign up with the camp of their choice and the schedule that works for them! We support youth going to camp with a $100 Campership for each student!

MUSIKAMP at FLC Bemidji
Dates: June 20-24th, 8:30am-12:00pmThis year's 1-6th Graders (next year's 2nd through 7th Graders)
Calling all young musicians at First Lutheran Church!
Sign-up now for a great opportunity that will take place here at church the third week of June! A special music camp is being designed for you that will include many learning opportunities right here at church. Guest musicians, fun music games, group singing, rhythm activities, and special concerts will all take place here at FLC!

DAY CAMP!
August 8-11
This year, VBS is DAY CAMP! Staff from Luther Crest Bible Camp along with church volunteers from First Lutheran Church, Bethel Lutheran Church, and New Salem Lutheran Church, will be working together for a week of fun and faith! We'll learn about Bible stories through drama, games, and crafts! Fun for all ages!
Cost is $25 per individual
$60 for families (3 or more kids participating)
